Finally, a Blog.

Bia Iconic

I’ve finally done it and published a journal page. I’ve had all these thoughts bubbling away, but had nowhere to “put” it because I was waiting for the main part of my website to be finished… Well, I’m not waiting anymore. Yuuka-chan was happy to see some of her graphics being used again, though I’ll definitely be modifying and adding to them. And honestly, I love this excuse to use Mark Bowley’s pure CSS bubbles. I’ll refine the CSS and so on later, I’m just happy to get this out here, with the vibes I desire.

I don’t know where to go with this… No, I don’t mean my website. I mean my life. Right now I’m focusing on getting my fiancée here, and really, that’s my only goal at the moment. 3-week visits aren’t enough. After that… Will we find each other, will we find ourselves? I don’t even know what that means, ha. I’m content with my current job, it lets me wear whatever I want… I get to listen to all my music on my Sennheisers, too.

After this, we go find another orphaned baby squirrel to rehab, I suppose.

I just really want a place to be able to express myself and talk about old flip phones and old web design and old video games and maybe old films. I’ve been dying for an active forum like that, I hope I find a nice place in MelonLand. I feel like I’ll go crazy if I don’t find someone who can understand me. Hear me out— Who even makes their own fun anymore? I don’t mean Instagram selfies, or witty Tweets that are going to get lost in the void. I mean… How many people make stuff for fun and post it on the web anymore? It finally clicked for my fiancee when I told her, “Your webpage is like a bonsai tree and digital scrapbook, it’s supposed to grow with you, and you’re supposed to shape it, cut away branches, rearrange things, let things grow weird branches. It’s supposed to be as organic as you are.” How many people feel that way anymore, when they use the Internet…?
